How to Review Ears in an AI-Restored Portrait
By ImgHeal · Updated
Check ear shape, jewelry, and the boundary with hair when restoration adds small portrait details.
Identify what defines the person
Ears are often soft, shadowed, or partly covered. Note the visible outer edge, lobe, hair overlap, and any earring before comparing the result.
Compare the edited portrait
Look for doubled edges, invented jewelry, or an ear that becomes too large or too exposed. Compare both ears only when the head angle makes that comparison valid; natural asymmetry is not necessarily an error.
Choose a faithful version
Keep a restrained version when the source does not support internal ear detail. For identification, rely on the complete face and provenance rather than one generated feature.
Check before you finish
- Check hair overlap and earrings.
- Allow for natural asymmetry.
- Avoid inventing internal detail.
