Choose a format for the job
JPG is a common choice for photographs and smaller files. PNG keeps sharp edges and supports transparency. WebP can provide a compact web image, although the result depends on the source and browser encoder.
Converting a lossy image to another format cannot restore detail already lost. When a transparent PNG is converted to JPG, transparent areas are filled with white because JPG does not support transparency.
Convert the image in your browser
Select an image, pick the output format, and choose Convert and download. ImgHeal draws the selected image into a browser canvas and creates a new file on your device. The original stays unchanged.
- Supported input: JPEG, PNG, and WebP images up to 40 MB.
- Available output: JPG, PNG, or WebP.
- The conversion does not use an image-processing API or upload endpoint.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert PNG to JPG?
Yes. Choose JPG as the output. Since JPG cannot store transparency, transparent parts of the PNG are filled with white.
Will converting an image reduce its quality?
PNG output is lossless for the pixels decoded by your browser. JPG and WebP use lossy encoding, so their appearance and file size depend on the chosen quality and source image.
Is my image uploaded during conversion?
No. The image is decoded and converted by your browser. The tool does not send the selected image to an ImgHeal server.
