Processing happens locally in this browser tab. No upload is made. Browser support and available memory can affect large images.
Set the output dimensions
Image dimensions are measured in pixels. With Keep proportions enabled, changing either side updates the other side to match the source image ratio. Turn it off when you need an exact width and height.
Increasing pixel dimensions does not add real detail to the source. If you resize down, information is discarded in the resized copy, so keep the original if you may need it later.
Resize and download on your device
The browser decodes the selected image and draws it at the dimensions you enter. No image upload is needed. The tool limits each output side to 12,000 pixels to avoid requesting an excessively large canvas.
- Enter a width, height, or both in pixels.
- Keep proportions on to calculate the matching side automatically.
- JPEG, PNG, and WebP source images up to 40 MB are supported.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize without stretching an image?
Leave Keep proportions enabled. Changing the width or height then updates the other dimension to match the source image ratio.
Can resizing make a small image sharper?
Increasing pixel dimensions does not restore detail missing from the source. It creates a larger image using the pixels available to the browser resampler.
Is there a maximum image size?
The tool accepts source files up to 40 MB and limits each output dimension to 12,000 pixels. The browser and available device memory also affect what can be processed.
