How to Review Photo Copies on a Larger Screen Before Packing Up

By ImgHeal · Updated

Catch capture problems while the original and camera setup are still available, using full-resolution review instead of a tiny preview.

Transfer a genuine test file

Open an actual full-resolution capture on your computer or larger display. A wireless preview or messaging copy may be reduced, so check the file dimensions. Use a transfer method supported by your camera or phone. Keep originals on the device until you have confirmed the copied files open correctly and match the intended photographs.

Inspect a consistent set of regions

Review the full composition first, then the main face, a corner, a dark region, and fine writing at a consistent enlargement. This short routine catches framing, focus, reflection, and exposure problems more reliably than randomly zooming into whatever looks interesting. Compare the file with the physical source when a defect's origin is unclear.

Retest after correcting the setup

If you change alignment, lighting, or focus, review another complete file rather than assuming the adjustment worked. Keep the before-and-after test captures long enough to compare them. Avoid judging improved sharpness from a differently scaled preview. For a large session, repeat a spot check after breaks or equipment movement.

Confirm the session before storage

Check that each intended original has a readable file and that its identifier is correct before returning the prints to storage. Prepare selected working copies for ImgHeal after this capture check. A larger-screen review cannot guarantee perfect restoration, but it reduces avoidable rehandling and gives the software a more dependable digital source.

Before you save this version

  • The review uses complete full-resolution files.
  • A consistent set of detail regions was inspected.
  • Corrections were checked before packing up.
