How to Prepare a Photo File for Restoration Upload
By ImgHeal
Check source quality, file compatibility, and privacy before uploading a copy.
Select the best source
Choose an original scan or camera capture over a screenshot. Open it locally to confirm that it is complete and correctly oriented. If faces are blurred by capture shake or hidden by glare, improve the capture first whenever possible.
Check the current uploader
Use the formats and size limits shown by the uploader you are using. If conversion or resizing is needed, make a derivative from the source and check it afterward. Renaming a file extension does not convert the encoded image format.
Review what you are sharing
Check the image for addresses, documents, or private information visible in the frame. Read the service's privacy policy before uploading sensitive family material. Keep a local source copy and confirm that any downloaded result belongs to the correct upload.
Before you finish
- Open the source before uploading.
- Follow the uploader's displayed requirements.
- Review visible private information.
